What a great result at Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials, an 1,2,3,4 for Britain in the CCI3* with William Fox-Pitt claiming the top honours on Parklane Hawk, Ruth Edge had slightly better luck on Carnaval Prince II than at Burghley with Two Thyme, to come second after adding only a couple of cross country time faults to her dressage score. Piggy French had a really successful weekend and claimed the third and forth spots with Chase the Moon and Flying Machine respectively.
The CIC38 8/9 year old class was won by the amazing Mark Todd and NZB Land Vision a horse which he is hoping to aim for London 2012, defiantly one to watch in the run up! Sarah Cohen had a great result in second on Treason with Ruth Edge and Applejack II who lead after dressage came in forth. Five of the top ten places were British, a brilliant result!
It’s looking like the World Equestrian Games will be a fantastic competition, the British team of William Fox-Pitt, Nicola Wilson, Janet Breakwell, Mary King and piggy French seem on great form all out competing and winning. Fingers crossed they can stay on this high point and bring us home some medals.
Back at Silvermoor we have been busy getting the final part of the 2010 haylage in, we think it’s going to be a good vintage, it all smells lovely and the analysis are very good, as always!
We are now flat out bagging up haylage to keep it coming into retailers, looks like the poor weather and the shortages which keep making the press are encouraging people to buy earlier and in more bulk too, but do not worry we have got plenty to last all season as well as enough for new customers as you can see from the photo we have a huge stack, and this is just a little bit that could fit in the photo!.
So if any of you are having trouble finding haylage remember to ask you retailer for Silvermoor! Don’t forget to check us out on Facebook www.facebook.com/Silvermoor-Haylage and Twitter www.twitter.com/Silvermoor or simply go to our website www.silvermoor.com
